Dr Moin Saleem and friend Philip Shoebridge from Bristol will be taking part in the gruelling Etape du Tour - the amateurs' stage of the Tour de France. This is to raise money for research into Nephrotic Syndrome at the Children's Renal Unit at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. And of course Dr Saleem knows only too well how important funding is for this research as he leads the research team at Bristol!

The ride takes place on 16th July 2007 (it will be very hot) and it involves 125 miles with a total ascent of 4,000 metres over 5 mountains.
